Greetings!

Below listed is a brief list and overview of our upcoming events. Please mark your calendars and look for details on the March presentations in upcoming newsletters.

First, on Feb 20th at 10:00 AM - Mike Paull will give us lots of insight into the mystical and maniacal of GPS navigation on motorcycles.

Here's what Mike will cover: "All things GPS, Everything You Need to Know to Purchase, Use, and Maximize your Investment in a (Garmin) GPS Receiver.

Why would you want one? What features should you look for in purchasing one? How do you use one? Trip planning with Garmin's MapSource software and maps. How to view MapSource data in Google Earth. What's coming down the navigation product and service pipeline on mobile devices?

Using real-time screen views from MapSource on a notebook computer, screen dumps from the actual GPS receiver's display, and streaming views from Google Earth.

Mike will guide you through the, at times bewildering, but comprehensible world of trip planning and navigation using a Garmin GPS receiver and related software products and services.

The Tech Session is recommended for both novice and experienced users, or anyone considering purchasing a GPS receiver. Bring your GPS receiver if you have specific questions."

The Tech Session will begin at 10:00AM, Saturday, 20 February 2010. The $5.00 registration fee includes refreshments and lunch. Seating is limited and pre-registrations are required. Payment may be made with your credit card when you register. Please call 253-922-2004 to reserve your spot.

The session will run approximately five hours including breaks and lunch.

Next on March 13 - Dave Hooker, aka Mr. COB will be in the house along with his Ural Gear-Up to introduce and indoctrinate those unfamiliar Ural machines.

Dave has been almost everywhere on Ural bikes and can rebuild one in his sleep using a Swiss Army Knife. Don't miss this opportunity to meet the legendary Mr. COB and learn what you can do on your machine. Details in upcoming newsletters.

March 20th - Parts Swap. This is  your opportunity to bring in your motorcycling treasures that you want to sell in a garage sale environment. Old jackets, saddles, special parts, etc. all qualify. This is a day long event and if you have nothing to sell, you might just find that special part to finish your restoration. Look for detailed information on our web site and in upcoming newsletters.

March 27th - Jim Balz. Jim is the gent standing next to the GS in the masthead picture above.

Jim travelled through twenty-nine countries, in 8 months, and covered 28,600 miles, truly the trip of a lifetime.... "One can travel by plane, car, bus, or train, but only on two wheels is one able to totally EXPERIENCE  what one sees."

"This experience enabled me to meet many peoples, to see many sights, and to immerse myself in the wonderful cultures this world has to offer those of us who are fortunate enough to go where others cannot...."

"You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough" - Mae West

Again, details in an upcoming newsletter however you are welcome to call ahead of time with your questions.

Sincerely,
