Simulation lab dedication is a success

TB Sim Lab DemonstrationGalen dedicated the new Ruth D. Corcoran clinical simulation laboratory with a ceremony on Tuesday, June 15. The laboratory is dedicated to the late Ruth D. Corcoran, EdD, RN, who was an esteemed member of Galen's Board of Directors. The simulation lab is 2,300 square feet and comprises six rooms: two simulated patient care rooms, a control room, two debriefing rooms and a lobby. The lab features two high fidelity METI Nursing simulator mannequins with curriculum integration software manufactured by Medical Education Technologies, Inc. (METI), of Sarasota, Florida. The dedication included a demonstration by Galen students of the capabilities of the new lab.
