Student Rep Program Already a Success
galen new scrubsThe student representative program at Galen is already yielding results. From reduced copying costs to evening hours for registrar and financial aid departments, the program's influence is already a positive one. The program is simple: There are several student representatives chosen per quarter, plus a key spokesperson who communicates with program directors to make recommendations for changes that will help the students.

"It's important for students to know that we want their input," said Dean Joan L. Frey, EdD, RN, CNAA. "It's about what we can do to help their educational experience be the best it can be." One of the main changes brought about by the program was the addition of a new scrubs option for clinicals (pictured), which Frey said has been especially well received. If you have questions regarding who your student representatives are, contact Jennifer Danziger: jdanzinger@galencollege.edu.
Galen Recognized for Accreditation Longevity
The Council on Occupational Education (COE) recognized Galen College of Nursing for completing 25 years of accredited status at the Council's Annual Meeting in St. Louis in November.
