Dear
The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ,
Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit
Shall lure it back to cancel half a Line,
Nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it.
Verse 51 of the Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám
This poem, in turn, refers to Belshazzar's feast as related in the Book of Daniel, which is the source of the common phrase
"the writing on the wall".
The writing on the wall is: Good Copywriters are Magic! |
At last night's An Post Direct Marketing Awards 2010, the number of award winning entries that my "marketing copywriting" hand had a moving finger in... could fill a book!
There's were golds galore, silvers by the score and blushing bronzes everywhere!
Just thought you should know that 'the writing on the wall' is still: 'Robert's Copy is a real winner!'
Which all goes to prove to you (yet again!) that copywriters are - ahem -very modest people... especialy the morning after Direct Marketing Awards Presentations
Great stuff... isn't it!
Kindest regards
