A new internship is available in Cork, Ireland providing support and working on special projects in the International Education Office of University College Cork.

IRELAND: UNIVERSITY COLLEGE CORK

University College Cork is one of the four universities that make up
the National University of Ireland. Founded in 1845, it educates
undergraduates and graduate students in a broad range of academic
disciplines. It is well known worldwide for its excellence as a
teaching and research institution, and draws its student body from
around the world.
Interns will work in the International Education Office (IEO) which servies more than 2,400 international students for the University. The IEO is divided into two sections: Operations and Marketing and
Recruitment. Interns may be located in either section, and the position
may cross over between sections. Work undertaken by interns may include the following:
Assisting in the organization of the "Welcome Week" for international students.
Assisting with the Irish Studies Summer School.
Contact with the Development/Alumni Office in UCC.
Attendance at meetings with visiting staff from our partner universities.
General administrative duties: telephone, receptionist, faxing, emailing and filing.
Interns are also often given a special project to complete during
their internship. Past projects have included the establishment of a
visiting student alumni association, production of profiles of UCC's
university partners in the US and the European Union and the
establishment of a facebook site for UCC visiting student alumni.
