A message from Chris Swistro

The economic, political and social climate has us all examining how we've been living, and questioning how we will choose to live going forward. There is a call to action in the air - how will we re-make ourselves? I want to offer you the opportunity to get where you want to be. Today.

The Challenge

Change is elusive. In his book "Change or Die," Alan Deutschman offers a compelling account of our resistance to change, even in the face of life-ending consequences (the cardiac patient who can't change their diet or lifestyle even in the face of imminent health crisis). Deutschman's message is that our habit has been to focus on the "what" and the "threat" (you've got serious heart disease - the "what" - and you will die if you don't alter your diet and start to exercise - the "threat" ) and assume that change will ensue. Usually, it doesn't.

What he finds is that the secret to lasting change is in the "how," and goes on to explain three concepts: relate, repeat and reframe. My take on the "how" entails setting an intention, specifying a plan of action, getting support as transformed behaviors take root, and acting on the unwavering belief that the plan will be successful.

The Offer

I'd like to put my time-tested organizational change techniques to work for you as an individual. Where is your new place in the world? Is it a different work life? Or new career? Or fitness level? Does it include volunteering? Or a more rewarding work/life balance?

I am offering Swistro Advisors Newsletter subscribers a complimentary one-hour "I've Changed" planning session. This is your opportunity to break through - to set those intentions and a course of action and firmly plant your belief in your own success.

In this session, we will clarify where you want to be, identify concrete steps you can begin immediately, and - most importantly - specify the supports you already have and can put in place to ensure your change endures.

Your "I've Changed" plan signals not the possibility but the probability that you will re-make your life in a way that is meaningful and may have been elusive until now. I invite you to take advantage of this opportunity to get some free, objective, supportive guidance - the first of the many hands you will discover ready to lift you up.

To schedule your complimentary "I've Changed" planning session, please call 617-285-0422 or email chris@swistroadvisors.com.
