Greetings!
Kentish Trader are opening a new Kentish Trade
Venue in the heart of Whitstable Harbour from May
2007. As you may know, the Harbour is a magnet for
visitors and tourists during the Spring and Summer
months, attracting over 10,000 visitors on most
week-ends.
The venue will combine a showcase of local
produce, art and design with a 450 square metre
covered and open air market area, next to the fishing
boats and Thames sailing barges. The plan is to open
Thursdays through to Sundays from May through to
Christmas.
The market area will be made available as individual
pitches for Kent based producers, artists and
designers who want to connect their authentic
products and with an ideal target audience.

New Kentish webstore coming soon |
|
As part of the continuing campaign to make Kent
based business and products more successful,
Kentish Trader will be launching an on line "beach-
store" in March 2007.
This will be the first time ever that high quality Kent
based products, from independent local producers,
will be available to consumers on line, 24/7, from the
comfort from their own home.
On line sales facilities will be offered to local
producers for a small monthly fee. If you would like
an advance preview of the draft site (not yet public)
please use the link below.
Please refrain from purchasing anything until the
site is completed and officially opens on March 1. If
there is anything that you really like, just drop us an
email. Thanks.

The new web store- sneak preview here.. |

A very quick Kentish blog.. |
|
For the first time ever, the UK consumer now spends
more on local and ethical purchases, than on beer
and cigarettes. More and more consumers are tiring
of the same mass produced imported goods sold in
national retail and supermarket chains. Many are
looking for real local alternatives.
We hope you can support the effort to offer
consumers a viable alternative to the retail giants
and help connect them with real products and real
producers.
By combining a local trade venue with a
dedicated on line store we are attempting something
truly unique, and ask for your support.
We might not put Mr Tesco out of business overnight
but we can at least offer the viable alternative that
more and more consumers demand.
