A Day of Cutting-Edge Sessions Ends with Fun Times at Casino Night

 | Sunday was a BIG day. It started off with a great breakfast in the foyer, where many members came to talk to the board members.
Topics were varied, and the debates and information exchanges made that morning a truly wonderful experience. Many of the world's problems got solved over coffee and muffins. Then we were off to hear our keynote speaker, Christine Cashen.
Christine was truly a sight to behold -- she was able to take the stage and have the audience participating and HAVING FUN within minutes.
Christine is a very polished speaker and took us on an hour-and-a-half long journey that got us to think about how our personality types shape our lives. Personalities affect the way we approach and solve problems, relieve stress, and learn how to put enjoyment back in our lives.

 | A big round of applause is due to Ron Kratz and the staff for finding such a terrific keynote speaker.
After a short break, we launched right into the General Business meeting and that's when the real fun began. The state of NADCA is strong, as evidenced by John Schulte's fine Executive Director's Report and also by the number of people who were able to attend this meeting.
Awards were given out during the General Business Meeting, and we welcomed Pierre Laurin to the Board of Directors while saying goodbye to Bill Lundquist. Bill was presented with the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award for his tireless work and unwavering devotion to NADCA.
Lunch was held in the Exhibit Hall and all of the vendors got a chance to meet and talk to the membership and show off their wares. I would like to extend a hardy "well done" to the vendors for their support and time. The food in the Exhibit Hall was pretty good too!
The afternoon sessions included an update on the Energy Research study, which seems to be proving what we all knew all along ... Clean HVAC systems save energy and money. Now the hard work begins, as we need all of our members to get involved and start measuring their data so we can use those numbers to expand the models and provide the tools to PROVE energy savings to your customers. The best gambler for the evening received a free registration to the 2011 NADCA Annual Meeting & Exposition, which will take place in glitzy Las Vegas.
For those of you out there who were unable to join us this year, we wish you were here to take part, and hope you will make it next year.
