Spirit-Mind-Body: Enjoy the Benefits of Getting Organized
The YMCA of the Palms is a non-profit organization dedicated to building strong kids, strong families and strong communities.
At the YMCA of the Palms, no one is turned away because of an
inability to pay. In 2009, the YMCA delivered more than $2.2 million
in free, subsidized or sponsored programs to more than 25,000 children, individuals, and families, ensuring the availability of the YMCA's programs and services to
those most in need.

Summer Camp
Sunshine, blue skies, warm temps and no school can only mean one thing - it's time for summer camp! The YMCA of the Palms offers a safe and caring environment where kids and teens have fun, learn new skills, get outdoors, make friends and make memories.

The YMCA of the Palms provides exciting and educational summer camp options that appeal to both parents and kids including: regular full day camp; half- and full-day specialty camps; and a Counselor in Training program. Financial assistance is available. For more details and to download our 2010 camp schedule, please click on either of the links below:
Lifeguard Class
Register today for the next lifeguard certification course at the Y, starting April 30. Each session runs over two consecutive weekends and participants successfully completing the class will be certified in Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPRPR, and AED.  Participants must be age 15 or older.  For more details, please click here.

Swim Lessons
Remember your fondest summer memories? Chances are many of them involved being in or around water. Once the hot summer sun heats up the season, children and families will go to the nearest pool, beach, water park or lakefront to stay cool and have fun. This summer, the YMCA of the Palms encourages families to be safe in and around the water.

The YMCA has always been recognized as the nation's swim instructor, and is among the country's most trusted provider of aquatics programs. The YMCA offers swim lessons for members and non-members in our community. We have lessons to fit every age and ability level. Parent-Child classes start at 6 months old and small group lessons are offered for children 3 - 12 years old.

YMCA Annual Meeting

Join us for the 2010 YMCA of the Palms' Annual Meeting on Thursday, April 15, at Pelican Marsh Golf Club, where will we honor our 2009 Volunteers of the Year.  YMCA volunteers bring their expertise to almost all areas of the YMCA. Though their roles are as varied as supporting community programs, greeting members and participants, coaching and watching over children, each has one thing in common - commitment to the YMCA of the Palms.  This year, we have selected a group of outstanding volunteers who give of themselves to make a difference in our community.

Thanks for Supporting Cinderella's Closet

On behalf of the children and families of the Children's Advocacy Center of Collier County and the YMCA of the Palms, we would like to offer our sincere appreciation to all the donors, customers, sponsors, and Fairy Godmothers who graciously helped us raise $30,000 for these two local charities at the recent Cinderella's Closet, held March 23-March 27.

Specifically, we would like to recognize our friends at Naples Daily News, Naples Illustrated, Neapolitan Family, Naples Florida Weekly, ABC- 7 and NBC-2 for promoting this first time event. We would like to share our thanks to the following sponsors for stepping out in faith to support Cinderella's Closet: Woolbright Development, Collection at Vanderbilt, I sold it on eBay, Absinthe, Saks Fifth Avenue, Taylor Rental, Chico's, Vicente of London, Platinum Total Fabricare, Naples Valet, Sassy Cakes, Driftwood Garden Center, Nordstrom, Southwest Share the Spirit, Sparkle of Life, Designed 2 Organize, Hubbard's, Donata's, and Colour u Salon.

Proceeds from Cinderella's Closet support the YMCA's Strong Kids Campaign, which funds the YMCA's financial assistance program, providing subsidies for YMCA membership and programs such as swim lessons, youth sports, child care and more. Proceeds for the Children's Advocacy Center will support ongoing intervention and prevention programs offered in Collier County.

We sincerely appreciate all the gifts of time and talent on the part of our volunteers that made this event such a magical experience.
