2010 Strong Kids Campaign Kick Off
Remember a time when kids could just be kids? Not many do. In America today, kids are growing up too fast and missing the years that determine their talents, passions and future life plans. Finally, there is a way to promote childhood in the neighborhood in which you live: the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign. The YMCA of the Palms kicked off its 2010 campaign on Tuesday, February 16. The YMCA of the Palms' members and community volunteers hope to raise more than this year's goal of $575,000 to provide membership assistance and scholarships to programs like summer camp, child care and teen activities so that no one is turned away due to an inability to pay. To date we've raised $186,111 toward our goal! Please consider supporting our Strong Kids Campaign:

YMCA Gaynor Center Capital Campaign Update
It is our honor and privilege to share our deepest gratitude to the Trustees and Grant Committee of the Naples Children and Education Foundation (NCEF). Upon issuing a challenge to the YMCA of the Palms two years ago, we have risen to the challenge and raised $500,000 to match the generous gift from NCEF. This challenge presented a unique opportunity for the YMCA of the Palms to share its story with members of the community with a sense of urgency and excitement for the Gaynor Child Development Center. Transforming the Teddy Bear Museum into a special place for learning and growth has changed this community in ways never imagined. Please click here to learn more. |
