Greetings! |
Christmas is right around the corner, and believe it or not, the first semester of the school year is almost complete, as students are in final exams this week and head home over the weekend. This time of year, it is easy to get lost in the shuffle of traveling, buying gifts, spending time with friends and family, volunteering and going to Christmas and New Year's parties. However, let us not forget the true meaning of Christmas. As we prepare for the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and look toward His resurrection, make sure to take some time to celebrate the greatest gift we ever received and share His story with those who may not know the true meaning of Christmas. |
Expanding Events |
As we congratulate the newest class of graduates with our December 18th graduation, we are not only expanding in size but in reach as well. In efforts to reach out to those parents and alumni who may not be able to easily make it back to Concordia, we are expanding our events regionally.
Beginning January through April, 2011, we will be coming to a city near you! We will be holding an event for Parents, Alumni and Friends of the University at Dave & Buster's near Detroit on January 27th, with events in Indianapolis and the Chicago area to follow. If you live in these areas, please watch the mail for your invitation. If you have moved into or out of one of these areas and have not notified us, please let us know "what's new with you".
If we are not coming to your area yet, we definitely hope to soon! |

Thank You For Your Support |
We know that many of our students would not be able to attend Concordia if it was not for the spiritual, emotional and financial support of their parents. As a University, we thank you for the countless hours of time you have put forth for your children and the University, whether in driving for a visit or to pick them up, in volunteering at CUW, in time spent at athletic, musical or drama events, and in hours at work to support your student. As we quickly approach Christmas and most of our students head for home, we truly hope that you enjoy having them around, pray for safe travels for all and will anxiously be awaiting their return to Concordia in January. Please view the academic calendar if you have questions regarding the start of Winterim and Spring semester. The University will be closed December 24th through January 2nd. If there is anything you need during the break, please contact us at alumni@cuw.edu and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Have a very Blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year! Blessings,
Nicole L. Tilot
Director of Alumni and Parent Relations
