Hi Folks,
The Kentucky Cobra Club has been formally invited to participate in the 2009 Louisville Concours d' Elegance as a Club. Two of our members, Hunt and Pat Palmer-Ball, who are in their organizing committee, have extended us an invitation to participate and show our Cobras in the 2nd Annual Louisville Concours d' Elegance.
When: Sunday, October 4th, 2009 10:00 AM
Where: Churchill Downs. The show date is only October 4th. Time of entry to the show would be after 10AM (we are not 100% sure of the exact time yet) and no cars will be allowed to leave until the show is over which will be around 5PM.
All proceeds from this event go to support Brooklawn Children's Home. This institution in the past helped only Boys but this year they opened their doors to Girls...and with the increase in expenses the State cut their funding which makes this event all the more important to raise funds for these children.
On our next Snakes n' Eggs we will be selling the entry tickets for $15.00 per person. If you are interested in entering please let us know and we will hold a place for you. We will not be judged but will be able to display our beauties as a club in a designated area of the infield.
The Louisville Concours d'Elegance combines the best in
"Horses and Horsepower." The event takes place at one of the most
famous sporting venues in the world - Historic Churchill Downs
racetrack and showcases some of the rarest, most elegant collector cars
in the country.
Located
in one of the Southeast's finest cities, during one of it's most
beautiful seasons. Churchill Downs provides a once-in-a-lifetime chance
for exhibitors.
Each year, our Best in
Show winner is allowed the unique opportunity to be photographed in
Churchill's famed Winner's Circle. These are the same hallowed grounds
where War Admiral, Secretariat, and Barbaro were crowned champions of
the Sport of Kings.
Not only is this a great cause we can contribute to but it promises to be one of our featured events every year. Let's show what we've got to the City of Louisville and the State of Kentucky. More information to follow.
