Creating Your Own Reality
Initiating your own sense of reality (or you might call it
summoning the Law of Attraction) is applicable to every moment of every
day. We experienced a most pronounced
sense of our creative power as we began the journey to Arizona right after Christmas.
Having traveled out of WA state into Oregon,
we decided to stop for dinner in Eugene. Our favorite food is Thai cuisine so it was
our first thought. As a sideline to
every gustatory experience, one of my greatest taste enjoyments is gelato so
that possibility (should I say "potential") is always sitting on the
back burner.
We pulled off the highway at an exit into Eugene with which Philip was familiar only to
find that the customary restaurants he remembered were no longer in
business. Looking across the street from
where we were standing, I saw an Italian restaurant advertising pasta, lasagna
and various other offerings on the side of the building. We decided Italian would do since it appeared
to be the only restaurant in the neighborhood.
Crossing the street, pulling open the door, to our surprise we
were greeted not by a host or hostess to seat us - no, the atrium to the
restaurant was a gelato bar offering a myriad of flavors. Philip and I laughed conspiratorially. Yet, it was not until we were seated that we
truly relished our powerful connections.
Opening the menu, we discovered the left side contained an Italian
listing of dishes; the right side was a Thai menu.
Don't ever let anyone tell you that you don't create your
own reality. At the Café NL, we proved
it - outside of any logical realm of understanding!

Breathing in 2010
As you walk the
earth today you have an opportunity and a calling to become consciously awake
and aware. Most people who do not take
the time to release and relax from day-to-day activities suffer from the stress
and tension that is consistent with not being aware of the feeling in the
body. Once awakened to the Source
connection that feeds your soul, you are guided slowly and accurately to that
space in which you make decisions about life and its events from a place of
peace, calm and inner joy.
There are many
different ways available within which to learn this unique talent and yet there
is no counsel that can be learned from reading books or the teachings of
others. Though often accurate,
reflections of others' perceptions, books and teachings cannot take the place
of life experience and heartfelt compassion.
There are many
relative truths each leading you to Self-rediscovery. You have not ever lost your Self. You have only taken a tributary off the river
of your original dream and need but a correction in current to rediscover the
original intention and channel in which the water flows. You have the ability and the "knowing" to
allow yourself to float down this river of awareness to that place within in
which dwell all of the answers, all of the solutions and all of the promises
dreamed real.
The current human
condition supports, allows and encourages following the mass beliefs as
dictated by television, popular opinion and the newspaper headlines. There is not much present encouragement for
following "your truth", creating individual thought and living life according
to the dictates of your own consciousness.
This pattern contributes to mankind's state of numbness in the face of
increasing complexities and stress.
Taking the time to
observe, to listen, to BREATHE and to spend time alone, in nature, talking with
friends of like mind and experimenting with any type of creative activity that
attracts will enable you to become more conscious, more aware and awake in this
marvelous time we are experiencing. No
time has held as many options and considerations for mankind as this present
age. Do not let it find you sleeping. Bring conscious awareness into your life
through conscious, awakened decision.

Greetings!
Each night as we zip up our tent and lie down to enter the
dream world I begin to hear the cry of the desert wind as it searches for the
missing sun. Its yearning, its wanting
to be rejoined with the solar rays of life echo through the washes and saguaro-covered
hilltops until the walls of the tent flex and pull in response to the wind's
torment.
The evening wanes, the dark night lightens as the warmth of
the sun begins to emerge from the east barely scraping the craggy crests. The power of the windy gusts begins to
diminish as they relish their reunion with the joy of their heart. The golden currents flow up and out and the
blustering surrenders its power happily.
And so it is with the infinite search for the Beloved within
you. As the first warming rays of your
awareness reach the hopeful moment of pause in your breath, surrender wanting,
searching and your need to know. Give
over your yearning to The Presence of you.

Delving Into Beliefs
I invite you to send me any belief you would like to look at to post in this section of the Sacred Spaces newsletter. I will post the question, "delve into it" and provide the answer here. I will not use your name or any reference to who you are in the postings.
This week's question:
"I believe I have wings. I've been told so by psychic teachers and I
have felt them moving in meditation. I
wish I could learn to use them fully. I
could use help in any way."
Delving into this belief:
How marvelous for you - especially since you are aware of
this etheric sensation through your physical body!
Begin first by re-membering that the idea of
"wings" usually connotes a connection with the angelic realm since
artists depict angels as having wings, and
Re-membering that the reason artists use this symbolic means
to represent that which cannot be seen is because these beings ebb and flow
through the visual spectrum as though they are "flying".
Your experiences suggest that the solar plexus, heart and
higher heart chakras are uniting in an emblematic expression of that which is
occurring within the core of your DNA.
As you continually and infinitely expand into your cellular memory, the
inherent attributes of the Angelic Human articulate their expression. In other words, if you continue this mystical
connection through your meditations, soon you will experience the sense of the
wings without needing to be in an intended meditative state because that
becomes your natural state of being.
The three chakras mentioned above foundation the processes
(on all levels) of power, compassion, Christ (anointed) compassion through
which The Presence of Your Essence expresses.
These properties impute a sense of unconditional love, lack of the need
to judge and/or hold specific opinions while allowing the demonstration of
beneficence through free will.

A personal reflection:
A few nights ago the air bed in our tent experienced loss of
air due to a small puncture in its surface.
This resulted in the creation of what might be considered a great
"ride" for youngsters at a carnival.
As I shifted positions in the attempt to "get out of
bed", the overwhelming variety of surface tension prohibited me from
finding any spot firm enough to support my weight. No matter how I switched position, I simply
became further embedded within the mattress in a myriad of different directions. Philip asked me if I could reach the plug so
we could remove the air completely. I
laughed. Intentionally reaching anything
was out of the question.
There was only one avenue of escape - surrender to the
mattress and slide off onto the ground.
As I did so, I quietly chuckled.
How like this week's movie - the struggle to find footing while needing
only to surrender to whatever outcome might result. Once on the tent's floor, the plug was within
easy reach. As the remaining air found
its escape route, we settled into our sleeping bags on the warm earth for the
remainder of the night.
The helplessness of this struggle is a physical memory that
will remain with me securely settled into the memory of my bodily cells. The message remains - all you need do is
surrender.
