Greetings!

Happy Halloween, Samhain, and All Hallows' Eve ~

From the original 2,000 year old custom of spirits walking the earth to the co-opting of the pagan holiday by the Christian Church, the last day of October has been celebrated as a remembrance of the afterlife.

Historically, the Celts were the first to wear costumes on this occasion hoping to confuse the spirits so as not to be possessed plus taking the opportunity to impersonate their dead ancestors.

In the top ten most popular U.S. Halloween costumes, the witch ranks first followed closely by the vampire and then the pirate.  This week's video visits that pirate as he or she sails the seas of life without compromise.

Pirate ShipWhat is a pirate?  The dictionary states it is:  a person who robs or commits illegal violence at sea or on the shores of the sea.  Is that true?

While one source of the etymology of pirate comes from the Greek as "one who attacks", if you use the Latin derivation it is:  peritus or experienced.  Or, going back to the Greek, again:  peria: experience

The idea of a pirate being one who attacks is a derivative of the word meaning "experience".  Now how did that twist happen?

Spirit of the United Nations Award

Deborah MoldowLast week's movie, "A Tale of Joy", received many commendations and comments.  Viewers appreciated the story and identified with it in many different ways.  Outstanding among the emails was the one from Deborah Moldow, UN Representative, World Peace Prayer Society.

It read, "I sat down at the computer this evening to compose a brief acceptance speech for the Spirit of the United Nations Award, which I will receive tomorrow with my dear friend and colleague, Monica Willard.

"I had been thinking since this morning that the theme of what I wanted to express was "United," but it did not seem to me to be a particularly inspiring word. Then I watched your video of Joy from France, and a chill went up my spine when I saw the final word!

"Thank you for this magical moment, and so many others from the videos you share!"

On October 26th, Deborah, her friend Monica and two other people received the Spirit of the United Nations Award for their work in Global Peace Through Reconciliation.  Deborah included in her acceptance speech, "that NGOs around the world are serving together for the United Nations and a united humanity."

The synchronicity of this event is based upon each person involved listening to the voice of the heart as it urges the next move, the next experience:

How does this work?  Joy and I both felt moved to create the video; Joy agreed to let me proceed without more input from her since she was going on a trip and I "knew" we were to post the video immediately; Deborah took time out from composing her acceptance speech to watch the movie; the movie gave her the answer.

The coherency of your vibration allows you to hear that which "is" next for you.  It is the basis of my Riding the Wave course teaching you exactly how to stop, how to listen and how to tell the difference between your thought process and your heart's message.

Deepest appreciation to Joy and Deborah for playing such a marvelous role in this co-produced drama upon the stage of life!  We are all supporting actors in each others' play!

Come Ride the Wave with us ~

It is this moment's opportunity!

Personal Reflection:

Stories like the one above from Deborah give me such a moment of pause.  The strength of our unity, our union, THE Oneness (that attribute we all talk such much about) and its Reality fill me to overflowing with appreciation of being a human being, right now - in this moment.

The physical ability we each have to connect with each other through all of the marvelous technology that is constantly being created mirrors our etheric connection in the worlds that we do not easily see.

As winter comes upon us (as it has for many), make time in your life (start right now) to simply sit, breathe (with me) and know that as you are breathing in, you merge with my essence.  As you breathe out, I merge with yours ~

In the Love of the One Heart,

Delving Into Beliefs

Dr. Bruce Lipton

Send me the belief you would like me to delve into in this column.  I will respond here without revealing your name.  Email [email protected]

This week's question:
"I have said to the universe, 'Yes, I am ready to help others find their light!'  But I am still in the dark as to what my 'type' of service to humanity will be.  I have been a teacher for 35 years and am ready to change my occupation, but to what?"

Delving into this belief:
This is actually a two part question:  1)  How can I help others see the light, and 2)  What occupation is next for me?

The idea that anyone is "supposed to help others see the light" is based upon the ego personality's desire to appear different or feel like it is "making a contribution".  This is not a judgment; it is a natural fact within the human race.  This does not apply only to "seeing the light".  It goes for any attempt to change another due to a particular belief about how another "should" be living.

There is truly only one way to be of service.  It is inherent within the phrase "be of service".  It is your beingness, your vibration, what you think and feel every moment of every day.  It is where you place your attention ("we are all light beings" OR "they are not light enough and I have to help them").  The coherency of your personal vibration radiates throughout the Omniverse in all directions, all dimensions, every frequency of wavelength forever and forever.  It does not ever end.  Knowing that charging each breath with that awareness is the only service that truly exists.  All else is simply something to keep you busy.

As to a new occupation, choose something that fills your heart with joy.  It makes little difference what you do so long as your doingness is filled with the deLight in your beingness.  Then all are served!
