Bronco evaluation dates and overview
OBA Bronco Players and Parents, Ok, welcome back. Now that we have your attention, we want to address you Bronco families, new and old. With Bronco registration open for another week, we thought it was important to make all potential families and players aware of evaluation dates and the format for the upcoming season:Format: This year we will have one (1) "A" team that will play in the 680 corridor "A" league, one (1) "B" team that will play in the 680 "B" league. The "A" team is open to both 11 and 12 year olds and there is no mandatory number of 12 or 11 year olds that must be on this team. The "B" team must have a minimum of eight (8) eleven (11) year olds on it. We will also have and 4-5 teams that will play in the OBA (Orinda)/MBA (Moraga) /PBF (Piedmont) Tri-League with no minimum number of 11 or 12 year olds per team. Each league has approximately the same number of practices and games with the 680 leagues providing a little tougher competition. There will be no more than 12 kids on each team.
Evaluations - Mandatory: Evaluations for the rest of Bronco, including kids who are not selected for the 680 corridor league, but participated in the 680 evaluations, will take place on Saturday January 16th. There will be a make-up evaluation day Sunday January 17th only if Saturday's evaluation is canceled due to weather. Evaluations will be held on the Bronco Diamond at the Sports Field - times will be determined and communicated to all perspective players and their families at a later date.
