Editorial correction:
Because of an editing oversight, two of our
client assignments were omitted from last
week's smorgasBoard. We are pleased
to highlight them in this special update.
We'd also like to remind you to participate
in our quick survey on your board service.
Ongoing assignment:
Executive Director Clean Air Campaign With 4.2 million people in the metro Atlanta
region today, and another 2.5 million
expected in the next 25 years, The Clean
Air Campaign aims to motivate Georgians
to take action to improve air quality and
reduce traffic congestion. BoardWalk is
pleased to be conducting the search for the
organization's next Executive Director.
Ongoing assignment:
Chief Financial Officer Susan G. Komen for the Cure In just over 20 years, Susan G. Komen
for the Cure (until 2007 known as The
Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation) has
gone from start-up to international force in
the fight against breast cancer. We have the
privilege of conducting the search for the
organization's first CFO.
Reminder for nonprofit board members and staff leaders
A reader survey:
5 questions in 4 minutes The response to the brief survey on "Board
governance as I experience it" in
last week's regular issue of
smorgasBoard has been so gratifying
that we want to flag it again for those who
have not yet responded.
The survey is short -- the average time to
complete is barely four minutes -- but
the findings promise to be fascinating. We
hope you will add your perspective to the
results. (All responses are anonymous.)
We'll publish a summary of results in the next
issue of smorgasBoard.
