As ususal, there's been lots of media articles on real estate and mortgages: 

  

Surrey is rated as B.C.'s hottest housing investment market!  Maple Ridge is #2, and Vancouver is #11.

It's official - the Globe and Mail has declared that fixed rate mortgages are the way to go.

 

Baby boomers who have owned a house 'forever' should consider selling to preserve as much value as possible to help fund retirement.

The October stats packages from the Real Estate Board of Vancouver and the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board are available on my website at How's the Market?

 

Metro Vancouver Highlights:  It's the lower end of a balanced market, where buyers have choice and time on their side.  It's important for sellers to price properties competitively. 

 

Fraser Valley Highlights:  Below average sales and a steady stream of new listings favours buyers. The good news for sellers is that although inventory is high, it's not near record highs and sales remain steady.
