Market Statistics for August2011
|
|
For the Greater Vancouver stats package from the real estate board (REBGV) click here. For information covering Surrey, Langley and Fraser Valley, click here.
Metro Vancouver Highlights: The market is trending toward a buyers market. August was the 3rd month inn a row that sales were below the 10-year average for the month. In contrast, listing activity is above the 10-year norm every month since the start of 2011.
Fraser Valley Highlights: The typical summer dip in sales in August compared to July didn't happen this year. Factors include: interest rates remaining favourable, softening home prices in certain markets and an influx of new inventory across all property types.
Let's look more closely at the August stats for single-family homes across the region.
