|  Our Next General Membership Meeting will be held Tuesday, May 24th, 6:30PM at the John Engeman Theater, 250 Main Street Light fare and cash bar. Guest Speaker will be Networking opportunities and a 50/50 raffle will be held. FaceToFaceNetworking.com has teamed up with the Northport Chamber of Commerce to bring you a night of Speed Networking for Business Professionals. The event is limited to the first 40 people who sign up. You will meet up to 20 contacts in one night. Maximum of three people per industry, one per company. Small Business Week

May 16-20 is "Small Business Week" . Every year since 1963, the President of the United States has proclaimed National Small Business Week to recognize small businesses as a major contributor to the American economy.
The Northport Village Mayor and Board of Trustees recently honored the Northport Chamber with a proclamation citing it as a community-minded organization of local small businesses and professional leaders dedicated to supporting the small business owner in the spirit of entrepreneurship and strong work ethics. |

Northport ArtWalk
Sunday June 19th from 1-5pm
There will be live music, amazing art displays, a grand prize raffle drawing and more! Pick up your walking tour maps at Caffe Portofino or Copenhagen Bakery. Please support us! The Northport Farmers' Market will be opening its 4th season on Saturday, June 18, 2011 from 8AM to 1PM, rain or shine at the Cow Harbor Parking lot at the foot of Main Street. This years' market will have organic vegetables, fruit, fresh vegetables, fresh flowers, annual and perennial plants, herbs, baked goods, gourmet foods, pasta, oils, sauces, cheeses, pickles, jams, jellies, tapenades, organic and grass fed meats, fresh eggs and something special for your pet and handmade soaps and scrubs. The Chamber tent will be available to members to display information about their businesses and are encouraged to come and volunteer for a couple of hours some Saturday. Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
| The Chamber is welcoming a new business to Northport with a ribbon cutting ceremony: Friday, May 24th, at 4PM. The Original Kaspar's Hotdogs 40 Woodbine Ave. (corner of Scudder) Please join us!

| The Blessing of the Fleet | The Blessing of the Fleet will take place on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 10AM at the Village Dock. This will be an expanded event to include a nautical flea market in the park and music in the bandshell. Anyone having nautical items to sell can call Gene Kinney, Northport Flotilla Commander at 631-662-1066 to reserve a table.

2011 Clean Beaches Day

The Village of Northport and the Town of Huntington will be hosting the "2011 Clean Beaches Day" on Saturday, June 18,2011 from 10AM to 12PM.
This year clean-ups will be held at many beaches in Northport and Huntington. Following the clean-up, a luncheon will be served at Centerport Beach for all volunteers at noon.
To volunteer please call Megan Lavery at 351-3018. The Chamber is a sponsor of this event. A good chance for Chamber members, family and friends to volunteer.
