Good Evening WellSpring Church!
He is Risen! He is Risen Indeed, Alleluia!
God has shown great grace to Wellspring Church in recent days! Our Maundy Thursday dinner and Lord's Supper was a sweet time of fellowship centering on the events of Christ's last full night with his disciples before his arrest. They boasted, slept, argued about their greatness, betrayed, denied, and ran away. So have we. Yet he loved them and us, laid down his life for them and us, and still today forgives.
Yesterday we gathered with old and new friends and were reminded of the need to remember the Resurrection and everything that God has done for his own through it. Many thanks go to the deacons and musicians for providing logistics in parking and guidance in our worship. I am particularly appreciative for the servants who watched and taught infants and children during the worship service so everyone could hear the message of Easter at their own level of understanding.
Special thanks to Brent and Krystle Monticue and Grower Direct Farms for providing the beautiful flowers that visually enhanced our worship experience.
Two special announcements were made yesterday.
1. There will be our monthly fellowship dinner follow the worship and celebration of the Lord's Supper this coming Sunday May 1, 2011. This will be a crock-pot meal luncheon. Those wishing to participate and provide a dish please contact Susan O'Donnell at bodonnell9@comcast.net
2. The elders also announced a business meeting for May 8, 2011 following the morning worship service. The purpose of this meeting is to nominate persons for the offices of deacon and elder.
May God draw you closer to himself as you continually answer his invitation to seek him.
