City offering CodeRED update services
 The City of Topeka would like to contact you via the high-speed telephone service CodeRED to provide critical information about such things as a flash flood, chemical spill, missing persons and other types of hazardous situations or general city information. There are currently just under 58,000 phone numbers on this list. If you would like more information or would like to be added to this contact list, log onto www.topeka.org and click on the CodeRED Emergency Notification System link in the bottom right-hand corner of the home page. If you prefer, call 785.368.9590 Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Your contact information will remain private and will only be used for CodeRED notifications. CodeRED will be doing an "all call" tentatively scheduled for Thursday, May 12, to launch at 10:00 a.m. The entire activity will be completed by 2:00 p.m. During the "all call", the existing CodeRED system will be putting out a pre-recorded message. Aaron Douglas Art Fair Call For Artists
 The sixth Annual Aaron Douglas Art Fair will be held Saturday, September 24, 2011. The Fair will feature space for more than 40 local artist exhibits. A variety of mediums are requested.
