Ola Melzig - The man behind the world's largest scene

Ola has earned a stellar reputation in the global entertainment industry as technical producer of some of the largest, most complex and prestigious live events in the world. Since year 2000, Ola has been in charge of producing the annual Eurovision Song Contest final. Second to the Olympic Games this is the world's largest live event with an average of 200 million live viewers.

Jan-Åke Gustafsson, a renowned Swedish scientist recruited to University of Houston and a member of both the National Academy of Sciences and the Nobel Assembly, shared interesting insights into the world of a scientist.

Texas and Sweden talking Green Tech
Under the slogan "Green tech, hype or reality?" the SACC Texas group in Austin organized a get together with energy experts from both Sweden and Texas. In the form of a panel discussion, leaders from the Texas energy industry, economic development and academia met with a delegation of visiting Swedish climate and energy experts.

High above ground at the Headliner's Club in downtown Austin, the panel shared their views and debated current energy topics and initiatives. It became clear that the Austin region is very much like Sweden is the sense there is a strong public interest and awareness for dealing with the energy and sustainability issues our societies are facing.  This public interest combined with the enormous energy industry and know how in Texas, are good ingredients for developing new and better ways to produce and deliver energy. edaysOver 450 delegates attended E-Days in Gothenburg, Sweden including more than 120 delegates from the US.  The three day conference program included speakers such as Matthew Barzun, the US Ambassador to Sweden, Jan Åke Johansson CEO of SAAB Automotive, Lennart Stegland president of special vehicles Volvo Cars, Doreen Mogavero a pioneer on the New York  Stock Exchange as one of the first female traders and Christer Rydaker Stena Metal  - just to name a few.   Read full article>>
