I Hope everyone is doing well and transitioning into their respective roles with school, work, travel, etc., now that summer is technically over. Things are busy for me personally and professionally, as my wife and I are expecting our second little girl, within the next month. I'm back in school, again, this time for a Master's in Nutrition and getting clobbered in Biochemistry. Body Systems has some exciting and extremely positive changes and additions to be announced very soon. Needless to say, my plate is overfull but I'm doing my best to practice what I preach!

With temperatures still over 100 degrees here in AZ, it seems like summer is still here. With the heat comes increased popularity in all sorts of new sports beverages, the most popular of which seems to be coconut water. Since I have been asked several times for my opinion, I thought it appropriate to share with you, as it seems this "healthier for you" sports drink may be worth the hype.

Coconut Water: Healthy or Hype?


What do an athlete, secretary, pilot, nurse, diabetic, infant, construction worker, and the President of the United States all have in common?
