Hope for People in Difficult Times

Oct. 2011

Greetings!
Thank you Lord, cooler temperatures are here!  It reminds us, with God, there is always HOPE in difficult 'heated' times.  He is the same yesterday, today and forever.  May these testimonies bring HOPE to you today.

Be sure to check out the last section on seasons of life!  We pray it will bring you HOPE as well!
First Session Testimonies

*God really touched and opened my heart during

 our first session.

*The booklets were so helpful. I have read and

 reread them.

*I decided to not allow the circumstances to control me and I have

had the best 2 weeks, even though nothing has really changed in my  situation.

*When I sense the gloom and doom coming back I start talking to God and reading the verses you talked about. It really has made a

difference.

Short Testimonies
*Thanks once again for helping me to see things in a different light.

*Your words were like balm to a wound.

*How my soul needed to hear your words of wisdom and love and support.

*God works through fellow servants and today, He has used you, to
  share His love.

*Thank you so much for your advice, I just really did not know what
  to do.

*I am sorry I was such a basket case to counsel, but you with God's
help got me over some hurdles in life.   I don't know what I would
 have done with HFM.

*I wanted to say Thank You to you all for praying! Prayer makes all
the difference! God helped us through that difficult time.

VERSES FOR SLEEP (Read OUT LOUD.)

I will lie down and sleep in peace.

for you alone, O LORD

make me dwell in safety.

                        Psalm 4:8

PSALM 121 is great!

(Put your name in for Israel. Israel was God's

chosen child...so are you...and change the you

to me and the your to my. God does not sleep so I can.)

I lift up my eyes to the hills

Where does my help come from?

My help comes from the LORD

The maker of heaven & earth.

            Psalm 121:1-2

He will not let your foot slip -

He who watches over you will not slumber

indeed, He who watches over Israel

will neither slumber nor sleep.

            Psalm 121:3-4

The LORD watches over you-

The LORD is your shade at your right hand

The sun will not harm you by day

Nor the moon by night.

           Psalm 121:5-6

The LORD will keep you from all harm

He will watch over your life.

The LORD will watch over your coming and going

Both now and forevermore.

            Psalm 121:7-8

...for He grants sleep to those He loves.

              Psalm 127:2b

(AND GOD loves me no matter what Satan Says)

The sleep of a laborer is sweet... Ecc. 5:12

Mike

"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven." (Eccl 3:1) Those we counsel are often stuck in a season. Sometimes seasons confuse us or we aren't equipped to handle them.  We like seasons when it is "a time: to be born; to plant; to heal; to build; to laugh; to dance; to gather; to embrace; to search; to keep; to mend; to speak; to love; for peace."  Unfortunately, while living in a fallen world we experience seasons when it is "a time: to die, to uproot; to kill; to tear down; to weep; to mourn; to scatter; to refrain from embracing; to give up; to throw away; to tear; to be silent; to hate; for war."

Because of the season of your faithful prayers and support we continue to meet people in their particular season.  We help them see where they are stuck, while allowing the Holy Spirit and God's Word to make clear which season they are in and their options.  We help them walk by faith rather than by fear.

We CELEBRATE:
*10 years in our counseling facility!
*Providing counseling to the homeless, addicts in recovery, etc.,
  through Crosswind Ministry, Corinth, MS.
*Continuing to provide our services on a donation basis.
*The individuals, marriages and families who have gained hope and
   found healing.
*Those who stand with us on a regular basis, in prayer and support
  as Hope's Heroes.

His,
Bro. Mike
