The first Saturday morning workout will  be this Saturday, June 9.  We will start it at 7 AM.  Join us for a GREAT workout that is totally different than anything else in boot camp.  We will meet at IWU in the Shirk Center Parking lot.  Please do not be late, we will leave for our run at 7 sharp.  I hope to see everyone there!! 

 

It is one of the funnest workouts.  It is hard, yes, but it feels so good to be working out outside and it gives you a chance to meet and talk with the other ladies from class.  Try it!  You will not regret coming.

Chris and I are so excited to make our BIG announcement.  Make sure you are sitting down for this one!  We bought our own building!  It is right around the corner from Gymnastics, Etc.  Mark your calendars... on JULY 2 we are planning to have our first day in the new facility!  It will be better than ever!  I am so excited and I have so many new ideas to make boot camp even better than ever!  I will have some new and exciting props, we will be able to incorporate different exercises and equipment, and we even have a really great sound system!

 

We, the MyLeanBody Boot Camp ladies, are going to have our OWN space for boot camp.  No more stinky feet...unless they are ours!!!  No more carpet toenails.  We will have a beautiful bathroom.  We will have incredible office space so that we can have our nutrition classes and meeting at the same place every month.  We are also going to be able to expand our boot camp family to include a night class.

 

My dreams are coming true!  I am going to be able to help so many more women get healthy and learn what amazing feels like!  I am excited to announce that Caitlin is going to be teaching the night classes.  She has been working hard to learn from and technique, so that she is ready to instruct.  She's already ready to bring the energy to the PM class and get these new ladies strong and on their way to reaching their goals!

 

The night class will be starting Monday, July 2 at 5:30 PM.  It will be three days a week - Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for 45 minutes.  Please reply to this email to sign up.  I already have a few ladies signed up and ready to get started, so I know that this class will fill up quickly.  Email me today so secure your spot if you are interested.  As always, nutrition counseling, goal setting, motivation, and a great workout - every time - is included!  We will need to meet for a quick fitness assessment before the class begins, so email me to get that scheduled.

 

I am also going to be introducing a few new programs to our agenda as well.  "Ladies Lift" will introduce basic weightlifting exercises and will include weekly programming.  You will learn the proper technique for exercises like the deadlift, squat, bench press and many more.  You will learn how to be strong and how to get stronger.  You will gain muscle, strength, bone density, flexibility, and energy.  You will lose fat, get smaller and firmer, and you will never again feel intimidated in a weight room. 

 

Ladies Lift will be offered mid-morning throughout the week and on Saturdays and possibly on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.  Child care may be available.  If you are interested, please email me immediately.  I am going to limit the classes to a small group of determined and hardworking women.  If you are ready to change it up and "start picking things up and putting them down" you will not regret it!  Email me today!  Be sure to let me know how many children you will need to bring with you when you email.

 

Personal training and kettlebell training will also continue to be available.  Chris and I will be able to train small groups at the same time (once he is back to normal, of course), so that will open up a lot more time and spaces! 

 

Here we come Bloomington-Normal.  The fitness standard has been increased to a new level.  Tell your friends and your families.  If you know anyone who is ready to make a change, we are ready to help them!  Optimal health has always been our goal.  Feeling incredible.  Having energy.  Gaining strength and fitness.  It is the fountain of youth, and once you start drinking from it, you cannot go back.

Health in a Bowl - Emily's Favorite Salad

 

You will no doubt feel the health entering your cells when you eat this salad.  It is amazing.  It tastes so good.  I cannot tell you how many I have eaten in the past week.  Try it.  Go to the store now, and just try it!  :)


This is the best when made with the freshest greens possible. Go to the farmers market this weekend, and pick up some different lettuces that have been harvested less than 24 hours before. Or get the mixed greens at the grocery store. I got organic mixed lettuces and spinach at Fresh Market and a couple bags of arugula after I ate all the fresh greens that I got from Henry.
 

Ingredients

 

Mixed greens - a big bowl full, 2 or 3 cups

Chopped mushrooms

Diced boiled beets, still hot from the pot is the best

Cherry tomatoes, cut in half

Green onions

Parmesan Cheese, just a sprinkle

Balsamic Vinegar - just the vinegar, not the dressing

1 Fried Egg - over easy

 

Chop and put all the ingredients in your bowl.  Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and the balsamic vinegar.  Put the beets on hot.  Fry your egg and put it on top.  When you cut up the egg, the yolk is going to seep down over the entire bowl of lettuce and veggies.  Mix it all up and start enjoying!  This is what amazing tastes like!! 

 

I LOVE spring and all the fresh flavors from Henry!!
