Greetings!

If you participated in the Saturday morning workout this weekend, thank you!  It was an awesome day to run!  It was a little bit cool in the morning, but we sure had the sweat going by the time we were done!!  :)  Ladies, we went faster than last year!  I was impressed.  If you missed it, don't worry.  I will be having Saturday workouts most weekend through the summer!

The next one will be on Saturday, April 23.  I posted on Facebook about a free run (donation only - 100% goes to the baby fold) to benefit the baby fold that morning.  I would love to join that one and show off our pack run!  I bet they have NO IDEA how awesome the MyLeanBody Boot Camp ladies are!  Well, we can show them how it is done!  :)  Let me know if you would like to participate.

Julie also had a great idea for a Mother's Day workout this year.  Bring your daughters so that they can see what you do, where you go, and how strong you are.  If you are interested in a Mother's Day workout, please let me know and I will get it planned!  I would love to meet your children, and what better way to show the little ladies in our lives how awesome it is to be strong and healthy, than to get them involved!  I bet I can even get my momma to come!  :)

This week remember we only have class Monday-Thursday.  No class on Friday, April 15 or Monday April 18th.

Chris and I are going to be in Minneapolis, MN, April 14-18 to get our Russian Kettlebell Certifications (RKC).  We will be working directly with the man who brought the kettlebell over to the United States.  That being said, I am going to have to cancel boot camp for two days.  We leave on Thursday, April 14th in the afternoon and don't return until Monday afternoon, so class will be cancelled on Friday, April 15 and Monday, April 18th.  Please come on an alternate day those weeks to make up for the missed days.  Since the 6 AM class is now going five days a week, please feel free to come on Tuesday or Thursday those weeks to make up for missing Friday and Monday.  Sorry for the inconvenience, but this certification will place Chris and I among the few elite athletes that are RKC's.  We have been training for this since last fall and are very excited to be going.

Wish us luck, it will be one of the most intense weekends and workouts of our lives!  :)

When we get home, the volume will really get turned up on my workouts, and in turn on your workouts!  :) I am competing in the Jr. Nationals on June 18th in Chicago.  When I won the show last November, I qualified to compete in this show.  I am going to be up for my pro card...and when I win this one, I will be an IFBB Figure Professional Athlete!  How cool will it be to tell everyone that your trainer is a professional athlete?!?!!?!  For those of you who have been with me through the shows last year, I am sure you remember how "crazy" I get...this one will be even bigger and better!

We will have eight training weeks starting next week to get ready.  So be ready to pump it up!  Both exercise and a very strict diet go into my training.  Join me to really make changes in your body as well.  Push yourself.  See what you can do.  I will be stepping very far out of my comfort zone to make this happen.  Reaching my goals, winning, the pro card will all be worth it!  I will need all of your support and positive energy.  :)

I hope that you can get outside this afternoon and enjoy the weather!  I know I am looking forward to getting out there and feeling the sun!  Have a wonderful afternoon.  Thank you for your hard work!  Keep pushing yourself!

Love you!  Emily

P.S. If you have not joined the MyLeanBody Boot Camp on Facebook yet, please do so.  Julia and Heidi were so kind to create it for me.  :)

The 6 AM class is going to five days per week!

I am still offering the double referral bonus to anyone who refers a friend to the T/TH 6 Am class.  If you have any other friends who are interested, be sure to have them contact me and get started before the end of the month!  I would not be able to do this without you!  Thank you, and keep them coming!

Remember, instead of the normal $25 credit that you usually receive for each referral, I am going to increase that amount to $50 for any referral who signs up for the 6 AM boot camp in April.  That means you only have to have 2 referrals and you will receive a FREE month of boot camp.  As always you will also be invited to the referral lunch which takes place the second Thursday of the following month at 11:30 AM.  The location changes each month.

What better way to get into shape, than to do it with your friends!  There are only a few spots left!

Since we all love the cauli mash so much, I totally think that this will be a hit too!  They sound great.  Let me know if they pass with the kids!  Enjoy.

Ingredients

  • 1 head cauliflower, stems removed and roughly chopped
  • 1 t onion powder
  • 1/2 t garlic powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/4 c almond flour
  • s&p
  • FOC (fat of choice)

Directions

  1. Bring a large pot/soup pot filled with water and salt to a boil. Turn the water down to medium-high, and add the cauliflower pieces. Cook them until they've become tender -about 10 minutes.
  2. In a food processor, combine all ingredients and blend together until they're smooth-ish.
  3. With a saute pan heating over medium heat, melt a few tablespoons of your FOC. In the palm of your hand, shape about a tablespoons worth of the tater tot mixture into a tater-like shape (cylinder-like), or just scoop and dump, and place into the saute pan. Brown on one side before flipping it completely over to brown on the other side.
  4. You don't want to use more than about a tablespoon worth of mixture to form your tater tot because it'll just turn into a tater teen-unmanageable. We played around with coating the tots with an almond flour/egg wash and it was completely unnecessary, so spare yourself the trouble.
  5. Make sure to nurse your heat during the whole process. You don't want the tots to burn or just scorch on the outside before they develop a nice, crispy crust. I had to manage a medium-low to medium adjustment throughout the entire process.

Get excited about reaching your goals.  You CAN do anything that you set your mind to.  Each day you have the opportunity to make choices that will take you closer to your goals.  Make those choices, and be happy about them.  You will be closer to your goals and that is what you ultimately want.

Make your body and your mind the healthiest they can be!  You are an amazing woman!  I am proud to know you and to be working with you!
