I found this really good article that I thought I would pass along. I know that some of you have been a bit discouraged and frustrated when it comes to the scale these days. You have been working so hard in class, and you want the number on the scale to reflect that. I totally understand, but I hate to tell you that it does not always work that way. You are increasing your muscle at MyLeanBody Boot Camp. You are increasing your metabolism, so it will be easier, not harder, to maintain your weight and body after you get it where you want it. No more gaining the weight back, no more ups and downs, you will be healthy, fit and able to stay where you are!!
You are now taking the steps to change your body composition. You are losing FAT and building muscle. So, don't get discouraged if your scale number is not going down. If your pants are fitting better, you are on the right track. If they are not yet getting a bit more baggy, you need to consider your diet. Remember that if you are not eating healthy along with our exercise regimine you are not going to lose fat as quickly as you want to and you will not see the results that you are WORKING SO HARD FOR!
That is why I want to see your food journals. I want you to be accountable to me for what you are eating. MyLeanBody Boot Camp workouts are just the metabolic spark. I get you for 45 minutes a day. I set your metabolism on fire. It is the other 23 hours and 15 minutes that will make or break your efforts. It is up to you to make the choices that will benefit your body. If you are still fueling your body with processed junk, you are not making the most of what you are doing each morning. I want you all to realize that you cannot just eat whatever you want and still get the body of your dreams.
When you start to give your body the healthy nutrition that it needs, you will realize the benefits are amazing. Your energy levels will be higher than ever before. Give up sugar and fake food. (Your body and I both consider that white bread is sugar, so you will have to give that up as well.) If you can't do it for yourself, do it for me. Make that commitment to yourself to be healthy. I care about you, and I want you to have THE HEALTHIEST BODY THAT YOU POSSIBLY CAN! You can do it. You can look and feel anyway that you want. THE CHOICE IS YOURS.

Until you are able to make the best choices for yourself, use me to help you make your choices. I know it sounds crazy, but sometimes we all need a little help!
You can do it. There is NO REASON that you cannot transform your body into what you want it to be. In fact, I just read about a woman who is trying to become guiness book's fattest woman. So, as terrible as that sounds, it goes either way. Our bodies just respond to the stimulus that we give them. Make sure you are stimulating your body to reach your goals!
Nutrient dense food are what you body needs most now. Fruits and veggies fall in that category. Are you eating yours? Lean meats, eggs, and nuts are also included. Every time you eat, I want you to ask yourself - where is my protein, if you don't have one, get one; am I also eating vegetables and/or fruits? If not, go find some. If you have anything else on your plate, make sure the serving will fit in one hand. If it over flows one hand, get rid of at least half of the portion. Eat for your health. You will thank me when you start feeling the benefits!
