MyLeanBody Boot Camp
Greetings!
Adding more fruits and vegetables to our diets is going to be essential for changing our bodies and our health.  Here is one way that I make sure I get in six or seven servings of fruits and veggies each day.  These sauteed apples are a great dessert or evening snack.  Try them when you need something sweet instead of ice cream, cakes, or cookies.

Also add a tablespoon of chopped walnuts or pecans to add good fats and fiber.  These both will help increase your satisfaction.

Try them tonight!

Sauteed Apples

1 apple, peeled and diced

1 teaspoon butter - not margarine (this is a third of a tablespoon)

sprinkle of cinnamon

Heat a small skillet to med-high.  Add the butter.  Peel and core the apple.  I eat the peel as I am cutting up the apple because most of the nutrients and fiber are in the peel and I don't want to miss out on that.  I recommend that you do the same.  The dish just is not as good if you don't remove the peels.  Throw the apple pieces in the heated skillet.  Let them cook a few minutes until they are golden.  Toss in the skillet and cook a few more minutes.  I like mine with a little bit of a crunch in the middle, but cook them to your desired tenderness.  Sprinkle with a bit of cinnamon and serve hot.  It is a GREAT dessert.
