Greetings!
When you hear the word honeysuckle, what is the first thing that comes to mind? For many, it is the whimsical little flower with that one drop of nectar in the center. If you are a designer, however, honeysuckle could be in everything that comes across your drawing table. Honeysuckle pink is the new hue for 2011.
Prepare to see this sherbety shade of pink popping up on everything from designer fabrics to dresses to pillows, sofas and even appliances.

It's seen by designers as a pick-me-up when many people have had their fill of tough times. There is an innate optimism to pink, and it evokes nostalgic feelings of summertime.
The bonus? It looks better with more skin tones because it has less orange than coral pink.

The arrival of pink doesn't mean other colors will disappear from the market. Turquoise and other shades of blue-green are expected to be popular in 2011. Blues evoke calm and tranquility for most people.
Once you have chosen the perfect accent colors, keep in mind that neutrals are a good way to round out your color palette. The neutral for 2011 is grey.
It is warmed up a bit this year - think of a taupey grey. You'll find it is perfect for grounding your honeysuckle pinks!
