Greetings!
This is for any mother-to-be or for anyone who knows a current or even future mother-to-be! For many of us at Cowgirls and Lace, it was also a chance to relive happy memories of our own children's early days.
Wishing you a lifetime of tender moments,
Reba and Pam

Designing Baby Bedding
Your precious baby will enter your life soon and change it forever!
The months and weeks before are
such a special time, filled with anticipation and excitement, as the new
mother-to-be prepares a space that welcomes her new baby. Be sure to
allow enough time to order furniture and design the bedding. You still
need nesting and organizing time, and plan that the baby may arrive a
little early. Selecting FabricIt's usually best to choose your crib and mattress before you select your fabric. Find the color and design of fabric that best suits you and your little one. Select the one fabric you love most and the rest will follow. Silk fabric is beautiful on baby bedding but we suggest using a different fabric on the inside in case of milk stains. You may want gender-neutral bedding, should you choose not to find out the gender of the child or if you plan to use the bedding for your next child.

What is Your Style?
Style of baby bedding is quite versatile. For example, some mothers-to-be prefer a bumper pad with cording versus a ruffle. Some may choose a tailored dust ruffle, or a gathered skirt, and add trim or a band on the edge.

There are so many ways to embellish your bedding. Satin ribbon can be used to make ties for the bumper or if you are on a tight budget, you may choose to use fabric for ties, especially if you are having more than one baby. One thing that should not be used on baby bedding are buttons, for the baby's safety.
Completing the Nursery
Accessories for your baby's room might include a custom lampshade, diaper bag, toy bag,
changing pad cover, crib sheets and window coverings.

When meeting with a design consultant, you should always determine your budget prior to your appointment. With an in-home appointment, a professional design consultant should guarantee the fit of your bedding and be willing to give you some ideas that will help bring your room together. Remember, your room should reflect your style and be a perfect environment for your precious new arrival.
