Latino Outreach Initiative
Boys & Girls Clubs play a critical role in providing young Latinos with opportunities to succeed. By engaging Latino youth and families through word-of-mouth referrals, face-to-face contacts, community collaborations, special events and targeted programming, Clubs give young Latinos access to interest- and need-based programs to help them develop leadership abilities and strong decision-making skills.
Are you in 6th, 7th or 8th grade? Do you want to win a laptop? If you answered "yes" to both questions, please contact Michelle Shegda, Education Director, at 310-574-5064 or e-mail at michelle@bgcv.org for more details.
All members in 6th, 7th & 8th grade are members of Tomorrow's Leaders and encouraged to participate in Tomorrow's Leaders Project 2010. "My Perfect Life Collage", Essay, and A-G Subject Requirements Poster is due by Friday, May 28th at 6:00 PM. Power Point Presentations can be e-mailed to Michelle@bgcv.org. Members will be rewarded for their efforts!
