Program Spotlight

YEL Club

Teens

A tremendous amount of today's teens are roaming the streets with very little to do after school.  Unfortunately this fact often leads to being exposed to neighborhood violence and run-ins with the law.  In partnership with LAUSD's Beyond the Bell, we're stepping up and offering teens at Venice High School a POSITIVE alternative.

The YEL (Youth Edutainment League) offers hands on programs that will help teach teens the inner workings of the Entertainment community and covers the four core areas: Sports, Fashion, Music, and Film & Television.   This is an Edutainment-focused program that will teach basic principals such as relationship building, responsibility, attitude, courage, confidence, integrity, and growth.

Kick-off to the YEL program is scheduled for Wednesday, March 3, at Venice High School.  For more information, contact Jason McLaughlin at (310) 574-5072 or email: jason@bcgv.org.
