Construction to begin on Teen Center Renovation
The Boys & Girls Club of Venice is pleased to announce Phase One construction of the much-anticipated Teen Center Renovation Project.
The Teen Center will be undergoing a much-needed renovation beginning February 22, 2010 and is expected to last 3 months. Highlights of the renovation will include:
- An expanded Teen Center with modern, hip furniture
- Spaces for studying and lounge area
- An improved Computer Lab with docking stations
- and much much more!
The renovation design was completed by a team of students from FIDM, and led by nationally known interior designer Richard Herb. The team completed the design work pro bono, and the first phase of construction is set to begin in just a few weeks thanks to a generous donation from the Ahmanson Foundation. We are currently in need of $25,000 in gap funding to complete the project.

Nike Western Regional Headquarters
Being named Youth of the Year is the highest honor a Boys & Girls Club member can receive. The title recognizes outstanding contributions to a member's family, school, community and Boys & Girls Club. The program was founded over 60 years ago through the Reader's Digest Foundation. Three Club finalists are vying to be the best of the best within the club and celebrate their achievements.
