Highlights of South Africa Trip: March 2010
Taweni AFM Church Celebration
Mike
and Robin Nash returned to South Africa for a working visit from March
1-24, 2010. Some highlights of the trip where:
- Meeting with the management committees
of Two Tunics' 9 key community partners: Each of them is led by a person or two
that have incredible hearts for people in their communities, especially
the children.
- Visit to
Eastern Cape: A celebration and dedication of the new Taweni AFM Church
building assisted by Two Tunics was held on the occasion of our return to visit Jesus Christ Cares Ministry
- Spending the day with the Grace
Church
short term mission team: See the article on their visit in this newsletter.
- Visiting a Zulu church started by
pastor Amos in the Mkholombe shanty town: We were blessed to worship, pray and share from God's
word with this incredibly real, vibrant and growing church. God is using
Amos in a powerful way to bring light and hope in this incredibly
needy, dark and hopeless place.
