Namibia is just one of dozens of countries where population controllers have forced women to be sterilized. Hundreds of Namibian women were sterilized without their consent or even their knowledge, and when they went to get birth control later, they were told that it was not necessary since they were sterile.

A medic in Uganda who performed an illegal abortion on a young woman carrying his own child was arrested last weekend after the botched procedure almost took the life of the mother as well.
