"I have dedicated my career to improving the lives of individuals and
families experiencing addiction or mental health difficulties and
the associated physical, economic, interpersonal, and
spiritual disorders so often involved."
Most families struggling with these conditions are wounded by legacies of loss,
disconnection, illness, tragedy, and pain. Each member tries to cope as best
they can whether by using substances, attempting to fix or control things,
working to keep everyone happy, accepting blame, or escaping either physically
or psychically. Physical and emotional illness develops in most members, often
in subtle and secreted forms (distorted eating behavior, sleep disturbances,
sexual obsessing, lying/covering up, loss of pleasure, over-working, and even
substance abuse in those other than the originally identified alcoholic or
addict).
We seek to help each family member find relief from these harmful coping
mechanisms and the forces that encourage them.

Morningside is committed to providing each client with an
opportunity to stabilize, find and be responsible for recovery, and experience
life in a safe setting that promotes growth and transition into a vested
lifestyle of sustainable recovery.
Morningside Recovery is dedicated to providing exceptional
care for chemically dependent and dually diagnosed adult men and women. Our staff and treatment philosophy believes
in and supports a process for growth through phases of treatment. Sustainable
recovery can happen if an internal shift can occur and a new external lifestyle
can develop. We believe each person can recover from addiction while learning
how to manage mental and/or emotional stability. We are committed to helping each individual
achieve complete abstinence and an improved sense of emotional and mental well-being.
