Videos from the Rally at the Roundhouse!
Hundreds of Tea Partiers from across New Mexico attended the Rally at the Roundhouse to present the petition against the unconstitutional Health Care Bill. Our Attorney General, Gary King, was asked to file a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of the bill, joining 21 other states that have filed similar lawsuits.
Gary
King said that he is in not ready to file a lawsuit over the bill. "My client
is the state of New Mexico," said King. "So for me, before I would
bring on a lawsuit, I would want to know how the law in this case
affects New Mexico and whether or not it is good for us or bad for us.
So, we're trying to do that analysis."
As more details become available, we will keep you informed.
One of the Tea Partiers in attendance, Gayle Bacon, was kind enough to share 3 videos she took of the Rally at the Roundhouse. You may remember her from the activities she, along with Pat Morlen, participated in during the recent legislative session earlier this year. Those two ladies sure made all of us in the Albuquerque Tea Party, as well as other Tea
Party's across the state, proud to be associated with them.
