Welcome back after the long summer holiday. I hope everyone has had a relaxing and enjoyable break and are ready for all the challenges a new school year brings.

 

We welcome to our staff Mr Rye who along with Mrs Drake will be teaching swimming lessons this year and Mr Coney who will be teaching Forms 3 & 4 Math and English on Tuesday mornings.

rcSummer Reading Challenge

I hope everyone has been able to read some books for Mr Pascoe's Reading Challenge.

  

Please remember to record your reading challenge books on the book mark and bring or email into school by Friday 9th September.

Nearly New Shop Tuesday 6th September 1.15pm to 3pm
tieMrs Carrett and Mrs Rai have kindly arranged to open the shop the day before school starts.

 

If anyone has any uniform that they wish to donate to the shop it can be dropped off at any time during Tuesday or when school starts on Wednesday 7th September.

 

The Nearly New shop will also be open on Monday 12th September from 3pm to 4pm.

Start of Autumn Term Wednesday 7th September

Gates open at 8:40am for pupils in Forms 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6. The children
will line up in the playground to be collected by their Form teachers when the bell goes at 8:50am.


Reception pupils will start their first day at 10:30am. Reception Parents are invited to bring their children to the classroom to settle them and meet Mrs Harrison.

Stevensons Uniform selling Tuesday 13th September 2.15pm to 5pm
Our School Uniform stockist will be at school with their stock of uniform for anyone to purchase.
Welcome Evening Wednesday 14th September

All parents are invited to come and meet the staff that will be teaching their children this academic year informally, between 6pm and 7.30pm.

 

Refreshments will be available so please do come along and meet the teachers.

Clubs and Music

Pupils can sign up for this terms clubs on the lists situated on the Clubs Notice Board in the School hall.

  

Times and days of the School Clubs for the autumn term are on the School website.  Please discuss with your child what they might like to take part in.

Most clubs start during the week of 19th September. Choir starts this Friday 9th September 

 

juggling ballsBallet starts on Monday 12th September. Mrs Massey has spaces in the baby class. If you would like your child to start Ballet lessons please contact the school office so Miss Oakley can inform Mrs Massey.

 

Judo Jill has space in both classes for the coming term please ask Miss Oakley to forward the arrangements to you. Judo starts on Thursday 15th September

 

Music Lessons are available with Mr Penrose - piano, Mr Frampton - guitar and Mr Carrington - violin, recorder, saxophone, clarinet on Friday during the school day there are a few spaces for lessons. Please enquire at the school office. Music lessons start on Friday 16th September

Mr Carrington will hold Orchestra at 9am on Friday mornings.

 

Clubs are run by staff in their own time, so prompt collection from these is appreciated.  If you are delayed, please phone and let us know. If your child will not be able to attend a club please inform the school office or teacher concerned.

House points for the week ending 15th July

These will start from next week. The points for the last week of the Summer Term were:
