Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) Report

isi logoThe official report of the ISI inspection that took place in May and June has now been published.

You will find the full ISA inspection report on our website, as well as on the ISI website.
 
I am very pleased with the findings of Mr Skipwith and his team and know the staff at St Winifred's School will work hard to put the recommendations of the report into practice.
Speech Day
speech day playCongratulations to all the pupils. Their performance of 'The Black Shadow' was excellent. I hope everyone enjoyed the afternoon.
 
Mrs Morris and her team provided us with an excellent BBQ and the weather was perfect. Thank you to everyone involved with the event.bbq
 
Photos of the whole cast for The Black Shadow will be displayed in school from Monday. Please include orders for these pictures in your individual pupils envelopes which will be sent home as soon as they are available.
Library books
primary booksPlease could all school library books be returned to the library as soon as possible for the annual stock check.
Music lessons
notesMr Carrington, Mr Frampton and Mr Penrose all have spaces for music lessons this September.
 
If you would like your child to start tuition for guitar, piano, violin, clarinet, saxophone or recorder please fill in the music lesson form and return it to the office.
Judo
children playing judoThere are spaces in Judo lessons in September.
 
If you would like your child to start Judo please contact the school office.
 
Please note that Judo classes will be on Thursdays in the new term.
Street Jam
street jamFor Street Jam classes to continue at St Winifred's the minimum number of 10 pupils is required.
 
If there is anyone who is considering taking part in these classes please contact the school office.
odSchool Outings day, Tuesday 13th July
lemursForms 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 are going to Marwell Zoological Park.

Reception are going to Longdown Dairy Farm
 
Nursery are going to Adventure Wonderland. More information from Nursery or the School Office.

This is the last school visit to the library so please remember to bring back all library books.
nurNursery Parents Evening Wednesday 14th July
Any parents wishing to see the Nursery Staff please make an appointment with the appropriate member of staff.
Form 6 Bowling Trip Thursday 15th July
bowlingAs a treat to celebrate their time at St. Winifred's, we will be taking Form 6 bowling on their last afternoon, Thursday 15th July 2010.
 
The arrangements for going bowling are detailed on the School website.
Clubs this week
Times and days of the School Clubs for the summer term are on the School website. 
 
juggling ballsClubs are run by staff in their own time, so prompt collection from these is appreciated.  If you are delayed, please phone and let us know. If your child will not be able to attend a club please inform the school office or teacher concerned.
 
There are no clubs this week.
 
Reminder:  There are places in the Street Jam sessions for September.  We need to have ten dances in order for the group to run.  The children have great fun and it would be a shame not to be able to continue next term.
