Open Day and Summer Fete
This years Summer Fete proved to be a fantastic event.
Thank you everyone who helped set up in the morning and organised stalls for the fun packed afternoon. The pupils displays were very entertaining and showed the hard work that they and their teachers have put into preparing for our Fete. The many side shows organised by the pupils and parents are always great fun. Thank you for providing the items for the staffs stalls.
Special thanks must go to Max, Toby and George P who spent a large part of the afternoon being hit by wet sponges. Also to Mr Vernon who kindly put himself forward for the same treatment!
Mrs Johnson and her team provided us all with excellent strawberry teas. My thanks go to her and her family for their help.
I hope everyone enjoyed the opportunity to look around the school and view their children's achievements from the year. The classrooms were looking particularly attractive.
An amazing £1298.71 was raised which will allow us to purchase new mats for the gym and some extra steps and bridging boards for our stage.
Thank You everyone who came to the fete and supported the school. |

The final preparations are taking place for our Sports Day and I can confirm that the track events will take place after our traditional picnic on the West End Playing Field on Cut Bush Lane adjacent to The Gregg School.
Pupils need to wear their gym kit with house colour T shirt and track suit. The picnic will take place at the playing field and parents are invited to join us there at 12:30pm.
Races begin at 1:30pm. Some pre-day events take place in school during the weeks leading up to Sports Day and these are taken into account when the points are tallied. Trophies are awarded to age group winners and the winning house at Speech Day.
All children not booked in to attend After School Care are to be collected at 3:15pm.
A lot depends on the weather but we hope this can go ahead as planned. In the event of rain Sports Day will take place on Wednesday 23th June. |
