recycle symbolRecycling projects UK
A blue bin to recycle unwanted clothes, shoes and household items has been placed by the bike shed inside the school gate. The donated items are distributed to a variety of countries and donations of money raised for every full bin go to the Rainbow Centre in Fareham which specialises in conductive education assisting children with Cerebral Palsy and to the school.

Please place unwanted recyclable bagged items in the bin to help us fill it.

More details can be found on the Rainbow Centre website.
Parents' evenings 9th and 10th June
These evenings provide the opportunity for parents to make talk to staff about their child's recent exams and for Transition parents to update on pupils progress.

These will be held on:
  • Wednesday 9th June 5pm to 7pm
  • Thursday 10th June 6pm to 8pm
Please complete the booking form and return to the School office.

Please note the Key Stage 2 test papers are marked externally and the results will not be available until the end of the Summer Term.
Open Day and Summer Fete 12th June 1pm to 4pm
fete flyerParents are invited to come and view the school, their children's work and watch displays prepared by the pupils. These are in addition to the stalls selling plants, cakes, toys and books run by staff and parents. Also games stalls run by pupils, a raffle and strawberry teas served by members of the PTFA. Great fun!

Any donations for stalls or the raffle will be great fully received.  Any pupils wishing to run stalls need to talk to me next week so arrangements can be made for them.

School Uniform selling event Tuesday 15th June
tieStevensons, our school uniform stockist, will be in school with their stock of St Winifred's uniform for the Autumn Term on Tuesday 15th June, 2.30pm to 5pm.

Parents will be able to order any uniform not available on the day.
Sports Day Wednesday 16th June
runningThe final preparations are taking place for our Sports Day and I can confirm that the track events will take place after our traditional picnic on the West End Playing Field on Cut Bush Lane adjacent to The Gregg School.

Pupils need to wear their gym kit with house colour T shirt and track suit. The picnic will take place at the playing field and parents are invited to join us there at 12:30pm.

Races begin at 1:30pm. Some pre-day events take place in school during the weeks leading up to Sports Day and these are taken into account when the points are tallied. Trophies are awarded to age group winners and the winning house at Speech Day.

All children not booked in to attend After School Care are to be collected at 3:15pm.

A lot depends on the weather but we hope this can go ahead as planned.
In the event of rain Sports Day will take place on Wednesday 23th June.
