GO Ride
cyclingAt St Winifred's we are always keen to offer our pupils a wide range of education and experiences.

This includes cycling, road safety, the environment and healthy living. In the past, the school has tried to run GO Ride courses, but there is always the issue of getting the child's bike to school to allow them to take part.  Mr Vernon is keen to run a GO Ride course(s) later in the school year. To alleviate the difficulties of getting a bicycle into, or on top of, a car so that a pupil can take part, I would like to source a number of unwanted/outgrown bicycles that could form a permanent stock that could live in the cycle shed.

If you have any unwanted, unloved, outgrown bicycles that are in need of a good home, ideally that would suit ages of 8 - 11, please would you contact the school office to discuss the possibility of donating them.

The school can arrange transport to collect them. Likewise, if you have any family, or friends, who may be able to help, then we would be pleased to hear from them. I acknowledge that some bikes may require maintenance to get them to a roadworthy condition, but please don't let this put you off contacting the school office.

Ideally we are looking for 10 bicycles to allow courses to be run.
Thank you for your help.
