Networking with LinkedIn Tip of the Month
X Marks the Spot...
Have you ever wished that your LinkedIn profile was ordered differently.  I.e. that you could keep that ringer testimonial in first position under "recommendations," move your "apps or "skills and expertise" up or down the page so that your most relevant information shows up where the viewer is most likely to read it first?

You can!!  Here's how...

-Go to the "Profile" drop down(top left)
-Click "Edit Profile"
-Find the section or testimonial you'd like to reposition and drag it to where you'd like it on the page.
-Please note in most cases you need to drag the section using the section title name.  For example, click the actual word "Summary" and drag it up or down vs trying to click and drag your summary description.

Fountain Headshot Greetings!

Thank you for giving us the right clues as to who you are and what you do.

We saw the alerts, the news reports, your twitter feeds and top headlines.

We saw "Professor Plum" and "Reverend Green" speaking in the "Ballroom" at the industry conference.

We saw LinkedIn's "People You May Know", "Viewers Of This Profile Also Viewed" and "Who's Viewed Your Profile."  They even gave us a few hints of "Companies You May Want To Follow" and "Groups You May Like."

We're always on the watch, following your trail.  See below for the top suspects list.  Let us know who you think "done it" and does it well.  You may even want to hire them for your next "job"....

The 10th person to respond to this newsletter indicating their
favorite suspect will "win" a comp entrance to one of our upcoming Rainmaker Strategy Events:

Happy Hunting!!!

LinkedIn's April Fools Day
LinkedIn April Fools Day
LinkedIn likes to give us an assist in growing our networks through the "People You May Know" section.  Our favorite demonstration of this was their April Fools Day suggestions.  With "Sherlock Holmes" and the "Wizard of In" on our team we're sure to solve the mystery.

Following The Breadcrumb Trail With Market Updates
Foster Weeks Market Updates
Foster Weeks, Loan Agent at Guarantee Mortgage smartened his game significantly by taking his market updates from his voice mail and email newsletter blasts, and instead sending smaller, more digestible, customized, real-time updates to his network on LinkedIn.  Just because you're dripping on us, doesn't mean we're not onto you Foster Weeks!

Personas Gone Wild
Margaret Ryan of WonderWorks Consulting showed up on the scene only to discover evidence of personas gone wild.  Careers had been derailed, productivity and teamwork compromised, and HR-employee relations concerns escalated.  After administering a special ENNEAGRAM test, she was able to identify and match the personality types.  "We find that our leadership coaching and organizational development programs help teams and companies tap into their authentic selves and to play more harmoniously with each other."

They Left Moirés

Imagine That

Never question female intuition.  Patti Mangan of Imagine That Design Studio has lifted the impressions left all over the scene and found traces of widows, and downright color discrepancies. Her investigation leads her to Lima, Peru where she hopes to trace the origin of x-acto blades. On her return she is open to ideating with those who find discovery invaluable.
