Greetings!
What is it about your professional practice that people are enamored by? What makes them fall in love enough to fan you, write testimonials, tell their colleagues and clients about you? In marketing terms "Romance Copy" is the content that that makes people woo and swoon over our businesses, who we are, and our products in particular.
After years of answering these questions for our clients, MCM decided it was time to reach out to a couple of our business partners for help with a personal makeover. Thank you to Dava Guthmiller, Founder of Noise 13 Graphic Design Firm and Cody Rasmussen, Professional, Fashion and Wedding Photographer for

In Holiday Spirit
The first rule of employee and client retention is "appreciation." The first rule of social media is to "make it about your audience" while staying relevant to who you are as a brand, a practice, a community figure etc. At MCM we love to message words of gratitude, and build community through cards, invitations, networking and events. In honor of the holidays and because let's face it we could all use a little more romance (copy), we decided to include some tips for how to enhance your Season's Greetings. For more ideas, please see below!

Holiday Outreach
Show Your Appreciation The holidays are always a great time to reach out to the people who are important to you, and let them know you appreciate them. Here are a few things that caught our attention to assist with your holiday outreach this season.
We Love Cards MCM partner Noise 13 launched a card collection for the first time this holiday season. There are 9 in all to choose from...
The Electronic InvitationLooking to go electronic this year? Try Paperless Post. They'll let you send invitations, upload your logo, pick your paper stock(electronic image), add photos, customize your font type, manage your RSVPs etc. Best of all you can accomplish a formal effect online. It's faster and more economical than snail mail, and free to sign up.
Go Vintage with Letterpress Headquartered in San Francisco, Hello!Lucky does a great job with the letterpress look. You can purchase boxed cards or go with custom printing. In the world of electronic, there's nothing like receiving old fashioned mail.
Holiday Gift Ideas - La Bella ItaliaTarget does it once again, partnering with Italian fashion designer Missoni, to create low-cost product lines with high-end fashion designers for their stores. I was afraid I had missed out on all of the great finds as I heard stories of products selling out and buyers crashing the website multiple times within hours of the launch. Luckily it's not too late to squeeze some holiday shopping in. Target's Website-Missoni Product Link: http://www.target.com Oh look, Missoni cards!: http://www.amazon.com
The Right ImageCan't quite seem to find the right photo for your holiday cards, trying to think of a perfect holiday gift, or wondering if you're too old to pose with Santa?!! Call Cody at RasImage and he can help spruce things up with a photo shoot with you in your holiday best. |
Event Recaps and Photos BizTech Day Hispanic
Thank you to those of you who attended BizTech Day Hispanic(click here for photos) and to our hosts Sofia Keck of Sell It In Spanish and the Hispanics Mean Business Meetup, and Edith Yeung Founder of BizTech Day for what was truly a fun and informative event. Reinaldo Padua, AVP of Hispanic Marketing at Coca Cola shared one of the secrets to creating a universal language which is to speak to people's passions vs sub-typing cultural preference. This approach has been demonstrated through the success of their ad campaigns. Professionals VIP, Meet the Candidates Reception The Professionals VIP Meet the Candidates Reception at the Neiman Marcus Rotunda was a big success! We were happy to see many of our business friends involved in a wonderful civic engagement opportunity (Click here for the event photos), and hear that even KTVU Channel 2 News came out to cover the event.
