School is in Session:
Kaifeng Orphanage School Opens
EChO's partner orphanage in Kaifeng is the site of the first EChO funded school for special needs children in China. School has been in session for several weeks in the Kaifeng School.
Thirty-one orphans are now enrolled and receiving and education they otherwise would not have had access to. These students are receiving education that is aimed at improving their skills and development.
EChO provided funding for teachers, equipment and other basic needs for the educational program for these precious students. To see EChO's vision taking shape and a school opening, is truly amazing.

Chinese New Year Celebration Fundraiser:
New Year Party With a Purpose
Mark your calendars. February 20 is the date for the EChO Chinese New Year event. This year's event will be held at the Boys and Girls Club in downtown Bend, Oregon. The event will feature art work created by Chinese orphans, cultural crafts for kids, food, beverages, live music and more. This event is becoming a signature fundraiser for EChO. It is a showcase of the vision, work and children whose lives are changed through education that EChO provides.
Please consider joining us for an evening of fun as we ring in the Chinese New Year with a party that truly does have a lasting purpose. We are currently looking for event volunteers who can assist in the planning and logistics with this New Year event. Contact EChO if you would like to know more about how you can help.
Pictured are more students in the Kaifeng School and one of their teachers whose salary is funded by EChO. Help us bring education to these children, and change their lives forever.
