You are warmly invited to join Mary Pierce Brosmer for a celebration of her new book, Women Writing for (a) Change: A Guide for Creative Transformation. Mary will lead us in a short experience of writing in community as an instrument of social and individual healing and a champagne and cake reception will follow where Mary will be happy to sign your copy of her book. You are very welcome to bring a guest along, though it will be helpful for planning if you can let us know you're coming. Please call 513-272-1171 and speak with Bron. Hope to see you there! |

Read what others are saying:
"Women Writing for (a) Change is a wonderful book
full of insight and clarity. It supports us in our efforts to write and to be,
with honesty and acceptance as writers and as human beings. This is a book to
be read many times over."
Sharon Salzberg
Author of Lovingkindness
"An
invitation for us to personally explore, through writing, the author's
belief 'in the power of language, truth-telling and stories as
instruments of healing.' This book is a true instrument of healing for
women, our children and our disconnected society."
Margaret J. Wheatley

from Under the Harvest Moon by Carl Sandburg
Under the harvest moon, When the soft silver Drips shimmering Over the garden nights, Death, the gray mocker, Comes and whispers to you As a beautiful friend Who remembers. 1. In Mexico, El Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is celebrated November 1 as a way of remembering and celebration loved ones who have died. Whose memory would you like to honor this week?
2. Create a list of people you'd like to honor. Does one name jump out at you? How about a 16 line poem, an obituary or a letter of gratitude?
3. Choose a family photograph and study it for 15 minutes. Write what you HEAR.
4. Follow that crazy muse of yours.
