Party on March 25 at the HSC Open Door Gallery

HSC will open its doors Thursday, March 25 from 6 to 9 pm for a night of creativity and networking. The Open Door Gallery will feature an art sale, a silent auction, live music and opportunities for creative participation. Come enjoy free food and wine as we celebrate our new office space, programs and partners. The silent auction has already begun online, so bid now to support our work.

We hope our open house will be an opportunity to respond to a question we are asked frequently: what exactly does HSC do? To begin to answer that query, two of our young visionaries made a short video for your viewing pleasure.

Get on the bus to Tallahasse with HSC HSC's 2009 trip to Tallahassee

Demand a more progressive tax structure. Advocate for healthcare for children. Do all this in the halls of our state legislature alongside other passionate Miami-Dade residents.

HSC's annual trip to Tallahassee will take place April 20 through April 22. If you are interested in participating, send your completed application to Gretchen Beesing. Participants receive training on tax and healthcare policy issues and speaking to legislators. A mandatory pre-Tally meeting takes place the evening of April 14 at HSC. This is a unique and transformational journey--don't miss out! Can't attend, but want to support our advocacy? Donate to HSC now.

If you could change one thing about Miami...
Tell us what the next Imagine Miami Changemaker Conference should be about

Imagine Miami changemakers
Our fourth Imagine Miami conference, which will take place May 14, is currently in the planning phase.  We would like to hear from you, the community, about what we should address. In the past we have covered the use of public funds, places and spaces in Miami, and arts and culture. What concerns, hopes and wishes do you have for Miami? Send your suggestions to our new Imagine Miami Director Maame-Mensima Horne.

Changemaker Conferences bring people from diverse backgrounds and fields together to learn about and strategize around an issue of concern in the community.
