Greetings!
 August conjures up all kinds of thoughts and images. Back-to-school shopping, the last of the hot and lazy days of summer, a transition into Fall. For me, I always think of August as Birthday month. My son, my daughter, and my mother all have birthdays within a week of each other. Usually there will be some kind of get-together. I look forward to that every year! This summer has been a nice transition from the daily grind. I've managed to take a couple of weeks off from the day job and spend that time writing. Several projects are "in the can" which frees me up for the next projects. I'm currently working on Mate to Order, the last novella in The Matchmaking Chef series. In a way, it's both sad and exciting to finish the series. But guess what? There is more to come. I recently contracted for the second year of the series, with novellas Romancing the Scone, Better Than Chocolate, and Hard Candy Kisses!So happy end-of-summer month to you. Updates!
 Wow. Lots going on right now! Here are a few highlights. I am a featured author at The Romance Studio this month, so please come by and read my interview. The Quest got a very nice review from Romance Junkies last week. My alter-ego, Mia Jae, also got a fabulous 5 Heart Review from the Romance Studio. Be sure and go by and take a peek. Besides a number of author interviews, I've also started a Writing 101 series on my Examiner column. They start very basic and increase in skill level. This series will go through September.
