Gay-Straight Alliances (GSAs) or similarly named clubs are a key component in ensuring that secondary schools offer a safe and affirming environment for all students. Though all GSAs are valuable and influential, GLSEN is selecting one to receive the GSA of the Year Award!   

We appreciate the work that GSAs do in schools and communities across the US, and we want to acknowledge those achievements. We're thrilled to announce that Cynthia Germanotta, Co-Founder and President of the Born This Way Foundation (and Lady Gaga's mom!), will help select the winner of GLSEN's GSA of the Year Award and present at the Respect Awards in New York City on May 21st.
