IS YOUR SCHOOL SAFE? While there are many programs dedicated to the prevention of bullying, most do not specifically address the issues that lesbian, gay, bisexual and  transgender (LGBT) youth face on a daily basis. 

 

SAFE Objectives

  • Decrease the use of hurtful or exclusionary language and/or practices in your school.
  • Intervene when witnessing anti-LGBT language, harassment and/or bullying.
  • Serve as a resource and support, both for students who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual,  transgender or questioning, and for administration and other staff.   

Who:  6-12th grade teachers, administrators, school counselors, school psychologists, guidance counselors, and non-teaching staff who work with students. 

 

When:  April 3 & 4, 2011 8:30AM - 3:30PM

 

Where:   William Caspar Graustein Memorial Fund, Hamden, CT
